West Linton Golf Club is a great place to improve your golf game. Our golf lessons are led by PGA professional Ian Anderson. We offer two full swing practice areas and a first-class short game area.
Our indoor studio uses TrackMan technology to provide you with accurate measurements of your swing, including ball speed, launch angle, and spin rate. With our lessons, you can practice your swing and receive feedback on your technique in any weather condition.

Our Staff

Ian Anderson - Head PGA Professional
Ian was appointed as our Head PGA Professional at West Linton GC in February 2023 and is dedicated to helping you enjoy better golf. He offers an extensive range of services utilising his Trackman 4 Launch Monitor, from one-to-one coaching, to in-depth custom fitting experiences for PING, Wilson Staff and TaylorMade. In partnership with Europe’s leading golf retail group – Foremost Golf, he can access anything from all leading golf brands.Ian started his golf career at Colville Park Golf Club as PGA Assistant Professional where he developed his coaching career whilst competing on the Scottish Tartan Tour. Ian then served as the Head Professional at Shotts Golf Club for five years until he was appointed Resident PGA Professional at West Linton in 2023. Ian brings with him an experienced teaching and custom fitting background, having been asked by Lanarkshire Golf Association to promote and teach the under 18s in 2018/2019.
